The Boy and the Heron (formerly How Do You Live?) is turning out to be one of the best, if not the best, anime films Studio Ghibli has ever made. It’s no wonder too. The legendary Hayao Miyazaki himself directed and wrote for this latest Studio Ghibli anime film, after all. Not only that, but this is the first anime film he has directed in a decade. The last anime film he worked on for Studio Ghibli was The Wind Rises back in 2013, and his previous works included Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind (1984), Castle in the Sky (1986), and Spirited Away (2001).
With that kind of filmography, it’s really no wonder why The Boy and the Heron became such a huge hit. Thus, you can now understand just why this latest Studio Ghibli anime film is getting a return to US theaters. Don’t believe me? Then why not watch the official YouTube trailer from GKIDS below, and see for yourself if you want to catch this Studio Ghibli anime film in theaters? That is, if you missed it the first time around.
