Arthur the King is the ultimate feel-good adventure movie. The Mark Wahlberg-led film highlights the deep bond that can form in the most unlikely of places. Directed by Simon Cellan Jones (The Family Plan, Jessica Jones), the film follows Michael Light (Wahlberg). Based on a true story, Light embarks on an adventure race in a bid to finally win the global challenge. However, his journey also introduces him to a stray dog. Taking a liking to the dog and naming him Arthur, Michael welcomes Arthur as an unofficial member of his team.

Over the course of ten days and 435 miles, pro adventure racer Michael Light (Mark Wahlberg) forges an unbreakable bond with a scrappy street dog companion dubbed Arthur. Based on an incredible true story, ARTHUR THE KING follows Light, desperate for one last chance to win, as he convinces a sponsor to back him and a team of athletes (Simu Liu, Nathalie Emmanuel, and Ali Suliman) for the Adventure Racing World Championship in the Dominican Republic. As the team is pushed to their outer limits of endurance in the race, Arthur redefines what victory, loyalty and friendship truly mean.

Arthur the King was directed by Simon Cellan Jones with a screenplay by Michael Brandt. The film is based on the book Arthur – The Dog Who Crossed the Jungle to Find a Home by Mikael Lindnord. The film also stars Simu Liu, Nathalie Emmanuel, Rob Collins, Juliet Rylance, and Ali Suliman.

Arthur The King opens in theaters on March 15th.
