After 12 dramatic episodes of season 6 of Netflix’s Love is Blind, fans can finally see which couples chose to walk down the aisle and who decided to part ways on their wedding day.
After last week’s explosive episodes, the couples we have left are Chelsea and Jimmy, Johnny and Amy, as well as Clay and AD. So, lets dive in and talk about the outcome.
CHELSEA AND JIMMY
At the end of Love is Blind last week, Chelsea and Jimmy have a fun date at a closed-down theme park. However, at the end of it, Jimmy did a check-in to see where Chelsea’s head was when it came to saying, “I do.” Honestly, I’m surprised this couple has made it this far. They constantly fight. Chelsea is wildly insecure and Jimmy is tired of her bullshit. Back to this week’s episode.
Chelsea shares that she could envision marrying him, “I do see a future with you.” However, Jimmy not so shockingly confessed that he did not feel the same way. Jimmy’s final choice was ultimately influenced by the ongoing conflict between him and Chelsea, as well as her breach of trust when she disclosed on camera that he had slept with a female friend.
This of course caused Chelsea to become defensive leading to a heated argument. The conversation deteriorated, and Chelsea walked away in tears, leaving Jimmy to contemplate his next steps in silence. Is anyone surprised? In a way I am. I at least thought he’d say no at the altar, but he couldn’t handle it any longer.
CLAY AND AD
This poor girl has put up with Clay’s antics for a long time. Every conversation they have is about him setting her up for him to let her down. Girl, when they show you who they are believe them.
Clay has a conversation with his father – who is trash. The entire conversation shows you why Clay is exactly who he is. To have a parent who feels threatened and in constant competition with their child is unimaginable. However, at this point, the wedding is going as planned.
Despite their excitement, on their wedding day, Clay and AD were full of nervous energy as they approached the altar. They shared heartfelt vows, with Clay expressing gratitude for AD’s care and support, and AD declaring him her safe haven and refuge. As they reached the moment to exchange “I do’s”, AD was ready to commit wholeheartedly. However, Clay surprised everyone by abruptly stopping the ceremony, leaving his bride-to-be stunned. He then went on the longest most selfish soliloquy about why he couldn’t marry her.
AD walks away in shambles. When he goes to speak with her he AGAIN makes the entire thing about himself. Clay doesn’t seem sad or shed a single tear for the outcome of this relationship. He’s a cold monster.
That said, the moment of the wedding goes to Clay’s mother. During a candid conversation, Margarita called him out for his atrocious behavior with their son. She urged Trevor to take responsibility and apologize to Clay for the weight of the lies he had placed on him, which Margarita had only recently discovered. It seems she never knew about how he would take Clay on his cheating escapades. Nor has he acknowledged how that could affect their son. Trevor tries to brush it off by saying Clay just needed to find someone like his mother. She came back at him cold-blooded, “You met me, but you wasn’t good to me.“
JOHNNY AND AMY
Our “healthiest” relationship buttons the episode with a happy ending. Amy and Johnny were beaming with happiness as they stood together at the altar on their special day. “I cherish your soul,” Amy professed as they exchanged vows. Finally, they both said “I do” and concluded the season on a fairly upbeat note.
After the wild ride that was Love is Blind Season 6 we will be getting a reunion incredibly soon to catch up with everybody. Make sure to tune into Netflix on March 13th!
