Whether we’re talking It’s Always Sunny, Matilda, or even Batman, Danny DeVito is one of the most iconic actors of our time. And you can next hear him lending his voice to the Illumination family flick Migration.
The animated feature Migration introduces us to the Mallard family. These ducks decide to leave the safety of a New England pond for an adventurous trip to Jamaica. However, their well-laid plans quickly go awry when they get lost and wind up in New York City. The experience soon inspires them to expand their horizons, open themselves up to new friends, and accomplish more than they ever thought possible.
DeVito voices “Uncle Dan,” the Mallard family’s grumpy, eccentric uncle. Today, THS has an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at DeVito’s recording sessions for the film. Check out a bit of DeVito’s signature line delivery in the clip below.
The clip comes from “Meet the Cast: Danny DeVito – Uncle Dan,” one of several cast featurettes available in the Migration bonus features. Other voice cast featurettes for the film include Kumail Nanjiani, Elizabeth Banks, Keegan-Michael Key, Awkwafina, Carol Kane, Caspar Jennings, and Tresi Gazal.
DVD, Blu-ray, and 4K UHD copies of Migration go on sale today, February 27. The animated feature also comes with a ton of bonus features. Beyond going behind-the-scenes during recording sessions with DeVito and the other cast members, you can also watch three mini-movies, learn how to draw the lead characters, customize bird whistles, and more.
