The Bad Batch is back and Star Wars fans around the galaxy are ready to see Clone Force 99 in action once again for the third and final season. Thanks to our friends over at Disney+, I received an early screening of this series to review and this may be the best of the three seasons. Created by executive producer Dave Filoni and starring Dee Bradley Baker, Michelle Ang, Keisha Castle-Hughes, Jimmi Simpson, Noshir Dalal, and Wanda Sykes; The Bad Batch Season 3 premieres today with the first three episodes on DIsney+.
Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 3
In the epic final season of “Star Wars: The Bad Batch,” the Batch will have their limits tested in the fight to
reunite with Omega as she faces challenges of her own inside a remote Imperial science lab. With the group
fractured and facing threats from all directions, they will have to seek out unexpected allies, embark on
dangerous missions, and muster everything they have learned to free themselves from the Empire.
The Bad Batch Season 3 – Review
For those who have read my reviews, you already know I like to keep them as spoiler-free as I can, and this one will be no different. Going into this season I didn’t know what to expect. I enjoyed the past two seasons but they were not high on my rewatch list. Well, thanks to Disney+ I was able to watch the first eight episodes and wow my thoughts on this season are so different from the past two. The Bad Batch season 3 picks up with what remains of the Batch. With the loss of Tech weighing on them hard they will do whatever it takes to rescue Omega as they don’t want to lose any more of their family.
Omega is also on a mission during this time but she learns very quickly it is going to be hard to complete on her own as she wants to try to keep as much of the family together as she can. But this will soon become harder after Doctor Royce Hemlock learns more about Omega and the secrets she doesn’t know she holds. Because of these secrets, The Bad Batch will be facing threats like they have never seen before and will have to turn to familiar and unexpected allies to escape from the empire.
My Final Thoughts
The Bad Batch season 3 is a must-watch. Now I will throw a little warning out there for you all the first couple of episodes start off kind of slow. But don’t let that distract you. The storyline is dark it is not your typical fun Batch as everything now is a matter of life or death. You will soon see why as the story unfolds and connects more of the Star Wars universe together. By the end of episode 8, I was on the edge of my seat wanting more. I can’t wait to watch the last two episodes.
The Bad Batch season 3 may be the best of the three seasons. You will take an emotional journey as loyalty and friendships are tested. You can just feel that the first 8 episodes are leading to something big!
