The key to what Solo Leveling Ep. 7 “Let’s See How Far I Can Go” is about is in the title. You can basically sum up this entire episode of the anime as Sung Jin-woo going “Hey, let’s see how many risks I can take and not die”. While this is bad for him, it’s highly entertaining for us as an audience.

Solo Leveling Ep. 7 “Let’s See How Far I Can Go”: Synopsis
As you can tell by my previous reviews about this anime, Solo Leveling is a very recent show. In fact, Solo Leveling Ep. 7 “Let’s See How Far I Can Go” only just premiered two days ago as of this writing. Thus, instead of a spoiler-filled plot summary, you will all be getting the official synopsis from Crunchyroll. You can read that below:
As Jinwoo continues his training, he completes a daily quest one day by doing more than the quest requires, and a key that leads to a certain item appears in front of him.
Solo Leveling Ep. 7 “Let’s See How Far I Can Go”: The Good
As you might guess from all of my previous reviews, the action of Solo Leveling Ep. 7 “Let’s See How Far I Can Go” is the best part about it. Not only that, but this episode truly takes the action into an epic direction. This enemy Jin-woo fights is not only the most massive compared to him so far, but it’s the fastest too. When you have a building-sized enemy moving at the speed of a Dragon Ball Z fighter in true Lightning Bruiser fashion, you know that you’re going to have a really good fight on your hands.
This is especially since throughout the entire fight, Sung Jin-woo is pretty clearly at a major disadvantage. Unlike the giant snake from before, this current enemy is basically knocking around Jin-woo with ease for the entire battle. Jin-woo is only barely able to win by the skin of his teeth, which only makes the clear gap in levels all the more clear. Honestly, this is probably why Jin-woo’s battles are so engaging. Unlike Kirito’s battles in Sword Art Online, Jin-woo so far is almost always shown to be winning by the skin of his teeth. Battles where he effortlessly crushes his enemies are few and far between.
Oh, and this is also an episode where Jin-woo remembers that he has a life outside of his eldritch video game. He gets to interact with his little sister in a fairly substantial way, for one thing. In fact, it’s even driving the plot of this episode, and why he’s taking such absurd risks here. It’s nice to see him remembering that the System isn’t his entire life.
Solo Leveling Ep. 7 “Let’s See How Far I Can Go”: The Bad
My only complaint here is the same as my complaint in the previous reviews. I wish Sung Jin-woo would interact more with people outside of his System. Heck, I wish he would confide in someone about it already. Maybe his little sister, maybe that Yoo Jin-ho guy, just anyone. Because while the action is still great, I long for some character-driven interactions and story, for once. Maybe soon, Jin-woo might just do that. Hopefully.
