Scully, you’re not gonna believe this! The hunt for Bigfoot is finally over. And this movie doesn’t have just one cryptid – we’ve spotted four. Get ready for Sasquatch Sunset.
In the misty forests of North America, a family of Sasquatches—possibly the last of their enigmatic kind— embark on an absurdist, epic, hilarious, and ultimately poignant journey over the course of one year. These shaggy and noble giants fight for survival as they find themselves on a collision course with the ever-changing world around them.

Did you recognize those sasquatches? The hairy family unit is made up of actors Riley Keough, Jesse Eisenberg, Christophe Zajac-Denek, and Nathan Zellner.
The feature comes from Bleecker Street and directors David Zellner and Nathan Zellner (Kumiko The Treasure Hunter). Ari Aster, director of Midsommar and producer of Dream Scenario, executive produces the film.
Clearly this is going to be a strange one. This movie definitely seems like the sort of thing that won’t be for everyone. (Apparently, when Sasquatch Sunset premiered at the Sundance Film Festival, some audience members walked out.) Sundance viewers don’t vibe with cryptid comedies, I guess.
Regardless, you’ll have time to form your own opinion about Sasquatch Sunset soon enough. The film will hit SXSW in March before arriving in theaters April 12.
