Disney is dropping all sorts of exciting news today. First, with the announcement for Moana 2. Now, we’re getting a season 2 for the hit Disney+ Series, Percy Jackson and the Olympians! Demi-Gods rejoice!

During the first quarter earnings call for the fiscal year 2024, Bob Iger, CEO of The Walt Disney Company, made an announcement today. He revealed that the next season will bring back the beloved characters Walker Scobell, Leah Sava Jeffries, and Aryan Simhadri. This time, they will venture into a thrilling new escapade inspired by “The Sea of Monsters,” the second book in Rick Riordan’s immensely popular “Percy Jackson and the Olympians” series, published by Disney Hyperion.

“Rich in magic, wonder, adventure and heart, ‘Percy Jackson and the Olympians’ captivated the imaginations of viewers of all ages everywhere,” said Ayo Davis, president, Disney Branded Television. “We’re thrilled to embark on an exciting new quest and a season two with Rick Riordan, our fantastic partners at 20th Television, and the exceptional ensemble of cast and creative talent that bring this story to life.”

Disney would be remiss if they didn’t renew this series. Simultaneously, Barnes & Noble has introduced a captivating selection of stationery that complements the published books, drawing inspiration from the show’s immense popularity.
