Immaculate conception: the horror movie.

Sydney Sweeney stars in the upcoming film Immaculate as Cecilia, a devoutly religious woman. She moves into a beautiful (albeit likely haunted) convent in Italy, but soon discovers she’s pregnant.

“Out of all the women in the world, why did He choose me?” she asks in the trailer.

The trailer features plenty of religious imagery, jump scares, and other nuns dropping ominous catchphrases like, “How can we trust what’s inside you?” and “Suffering is love.” Spooky.

Immaculate comes from writer Andrew Lobel and director Michael Mohan (The Voyeurs). In addition to Sweeney, the film also stars Àlvaro Morte, Dora Romano, Giorgio Colangeli, Simona Tabasco, Benedetta Porcaroli, and Giampiero Judica.

Sweeney, known for her work on Euphoria, recently starred in the romantic comedy Anyone But You. She’s also set to appear in Sony’s upcoming Madame Web film with Dakota Johnson, which releases next month. The feature marks a reunion between Sweeney and director Mohan, who previously worked together on The Voyeurs and Everything Sucks!.

Immaculate premieres in theaters March 22.
