Apple TV+’s drama series The New Look will see the events of World War II collide with the fashion industry. Inspired by true events, the series follows fashion designers Christian Dior and Coco Chanel during the Nazi occupation of Paris.

Set against the World War II Nazi occupation of Paris, The New Look focuses on the pivotal moment in the 20th century when the French city led the world back to life through its fashion icon Christian Dior. As Dior rises to prominence with his groundbreaking, iconic imprint of beauty and influence, Chanel’s reign as the world’s most famous fashion designer is put into jeopardy. The interwoven saga follows the surprising stories of Dior’s contemporaries and rivals from Chanel to Pierre Balmain, Cristóbal Balenciaga and more; and, provides a stunning view into the atelier, designs and clothing created by Christian Dior through collaboration with the House of Dior.
The series stars Emmy winner Ben Mendelsohn as Christian Dior and Oscar winner Juliette Binoche as Coco Chanel. The extended cast also features Maisie Williams, John Malkovich, Emily Mortimer, Claes Bang, and Glenn Close. Todd A. Kessler (Damages, Bloodline) serves as creator, writer, director, and executive producer.
In addition to its star-studded cast, The New Look will also feature an impressive soundtrack. The series will feature covers of popular early to mid-twentieth century songs, performed by well-known modern artists including Bleachers, Florence Welch, Lana Del Rey, Matty Healy (The 1975). Grammy winner Jack Antonoff curated and produced the show’s music.
The New Look will include 10 episodes. The first three episodes will premiere on February 14 on Apple TV+. New episodes will then air on Wednesdays until April 3.
