Soon you’ll no longer need a Netflix account to watch one of the streamer’s most popular shows. Wednesday is officially getting a physical media release!
Wednesday is a sleuthing, supernaturally infused mystery charting Wednesday Addams’ years as a student at Nevermore Academy. Wednesday’s attempts to master her emerging psychic ability, thwart a monstrous killing spree that has terrorized the local town and solve the supernatural mystery that embroiled her parents 25 years ago — all while navigating her new and very tangled relationships at Nevermore.
Season 1 of the spooky and kooky series following the daughter of the Addams Family will officially hit Blu-ray and DVD on March 26. Producer Warner Bros. Discovery lists the MSRP for the DVD season at $24.98, and the Blu-ray at $29.98. You can purchase yours in March from online and select major retailers in-store.
Wednesday proved a massive success for Netflix. The eight-episode series drew in almost 6 billion minutes viewed, just within its first five days on the platform. It remains Netflix’s most popular English-language series to date. Wednesday also received critical acclaim and a total of 12 Emmy nominations.
The series comes from creators Alfred Gough and Miles Millar and director Tim Burton. Jenna Ortega stars as Wednesday Addams. The extended cast includes Gwendoline Christie as Principal Larissa Weems, Jamie McShane as Sheriff Donovan Galpin, Hunter Doohan as Tyler Galpin, Percy Hynes White as Xavier Thorpe, Emma Myers as Enid Sinclair, and Joy Sunday as Bianca Barclay. Guest stars include Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia Addams, Luis Guzmán as Gomez Addams, Isaac Ordonez as Pugsley Addams, and Fred Armisen as Uncle Fester.
Shortly after the release of the first season, Netflix confirmed plans to continue the show with a second season.
You can pick up a physical copy of season 1 of Wednesday starting March 26. No word on any included special features just yet, though. So check back to THS for more updates on this one.
