Spy x Family Season 2 Ep. 12 “Part of the Family” finally gives Bond the psychic family dog, a starring role again. It’s quite fitting, really, given how Bond was the only member of the Forger family who didn’t get to go on a cruise ship vacation. Fortunately, in this starring role, Bond gets to be a hero to humans and other dogs alike. And just in time too, because this is the final episode of the season.

Spy x Family Season 2 Ep. 12 “Part of the Family”: Synopsis

And now, the finale trailer has reached its long-awaited meaning.

Normally, this would be the part where I give you all a spoiler-filled plot summary of this finale episode. However, this is the spoiler-free version of my usual reviews. Thus, you will all get the official synopsis of Spy x Family Season 2 Ep. 12 “Part of the Family” from Crunchyroll instead. You can check that out below:

As Bond is on a walk with Loid, he has a premonition of an accident, so he tries to stop it, but is scolded by Loid. He then sees a vision of a building going up in flames and a sobbing girl standing in front of it.

Is this also a teaser for Code: White?

Without a doubt, the story of Spy x Family Season 2 Ep. 12 “Part of the Family” is the best part about it, especially if you’re a dog lover. Bond Forger is a treat in this chapter, and not just because he’s a big capybara of a doggie. This finale episode really shows off what life is like for Bond. Without going into spoilery details: Bond may possess the ability to see into the future, but that doesn’t mean he knows the perfect things to do with that ability. It’s not even that he is limited to doggie intelligence, either. This finale episode clearly shows that he has human levels of intelligence. He’s able to anticipate future events and plan accordingly. His plans may not always work out, but the fact that he is able to do so is a clear mark of sapience.

Even going outside of Bond’s psychic powers, though, Spy x Family Season 2 Ep. 12 “Part of the Family” is a fitting last hurrah for the furriest member of the Forger family too. He gets to be a hero in this episode to make up for his almost absence during the Cruise Ship Arc. For our Bond, it’s quite the finale to finish off the season with, particularly because it’s so heartwarming.

Bond here to wrestle down those naysayers.

Not much that I can criticize about Spy x Family Season 2 Ep. 12 “Part of the Family”. In fact, the only thing I can criticize is the short length of this season overall. Season 2 is only 12 episodes long compared to the 25-episode season 1, even spread out over a pair of cours. It’s a bit of a bummer for fans such as myself. On the other hand, though, we are getting an anime film in the form of Spy x Family Code: White. Thus, I call it a fair trade.
