Spy x Family Season 2 Ep. 11 “Berlint in Love / Nightfall’s Daily Life”, despite the title, really stars Becky Blackbell. Practically this entire episode is devoted to Becky and her hilariously absurd soap opera fantasies. With Loid and his imaginary adulterous relationship with Becky being the center of her fantasies. Trust me, it’s as funny as it sounds.

Spy x Family Season 2 Ep. 11 “Berlint in Love / Nightfall’s Daily Life”: Synopsis

The fluff continues in this episode, along with some (fake) drama.

Normally, this would be where I give you all a spoiler-filled plot summary of Spy x Family Season 2 Ep. 11 “Berlint in Love / Nightfall’s Daily Life”. However, this is the spoiler-free version of my usual reviews. Thus, you will all get the official synopsis from Crunchyroll instead. You can read that below:

Becky is very excited about a romantic drama on TV, so she heads over to the Forgers’ place to see Loid, who she fell in love with instantly after seeing his picture. Becky aggressively pursues Loid.

Spy x Family Season 2 Ep. 11 “Berlint in Love / Nightfall’s Daily Life”: The Good

Spy x Family Season 2 Ep. 11 "Berlint in Love / Nightfall's Daily Life" visual.
Nowhere near as serious a fight as it looks.

I know some people aren’t a fan of fluff, but I am personally very fond of it. That’s why Spy x Family Season 2 Ep. 11 “Berlint in Love / Nightfall’s Daily Life” is one of my favorites. This particular plotline with Becky Blackbell is one of my favorites from the manga as well. It really develops Becky’s character, while also giving her a chance to interact with her BFF Anya and the rest of the Forger family. Well, almost all of the rest Forger family. Becky is just a little too obsessed with Loid and Yor to be worrying about everyone else, including Anya to some degree.

I also have to give a shout out to the animation of Spy x Family Season 2 Ep. 11 “Berlint in Love / Nightfall’s Daily Life”. Wit Studio and CloverWorks really did wonders for that animation. In particular: Becky and her reactions. Watching Becky faint while completely changing into a very noticeably different animation style to the rest of the anime was just comedic timing at its finest. I give a French chef’s kiss of approval for the comedy of this episode as well.

Oh, and Fiona Frost’s oh-so-brief appearance in “Nightfall’s Daily Life” was short, but still sweet. With some nice callbacks to the tennis match episode in the previous season to boot.

Beware the wrath of Blackbell Heavy Industries!

Honestly, the only criticism I can make of Spy x Family Season 2 Ep. 11 “Berlint in Love / Nightfall’s Daily Life” is for people who don’t like fluff. If you’re not a fan of fluffy, then this isn’t the episode for you. In fact, if you don’t like fluff, this entire anime may not be for you. Perhaps you might like a different genre altogether? Jujutsu Kaisen might be the anime for you if you like horror and stylish action.
