Sasaki and Peeps (or Sasaki to Pii-chan in Japanese) is one of the most peculiar of the upcoming anime series. At its core, this anime adaptation of the novel series of the same name by Buncololi basically an isekai anime. However, unlike most other isekai anime series, it leans in heavily on the comedy. In this case: economic comedy. No matter how you look at it, it’s a pretty unique and fascinating premise for any anime series, let alone an isekai anime. It’s probably why Silver Link (Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya, Brave Witches, My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom!) want to hype up the anime so badly. So badly, in fact, that they even just released a live-action commercial for it. Don’t believe me? Then why not check out that short but sweet commercial below, and see the live-action weirdness for yourself?
Sasaki and Peeps: Live-Action Commercial Details
KADOKAWAanime is proud to hype up the upcoming Sasaki and Peeps anime adaptation with that live-action commercial above on YouTube. As you can tell by the video length, it’s a very short commercial. In total, it’s only 19 seconds long. If you count only the actual commercial itself, then it’s even shorter at about 14-15 seconds long.
This live-action commercial of Sasaki and Peeps basically gives us a peep into the life of our titular man and tiny birb duo. Mr. Sasaki returns home every day to his adorable Pii-chan, and then they go off on an otherworldly fantasy adventure together. Their goal? Make as much money as possible, all so Pii-chan can stuff its tiny beak with steak. It’s probably not something one should feed to a Java sparrow, especially since they only eat seeds and grain. Fortunately, this is clearly no normal Java sparrow, so all is well…maybe?
In any case, we will find out when Sasaki and Peeps makes its streaming debut on Crunchyroll on January 5, 2024. Tune back in to THS to find out more Sasaki and Peeps news when we hear about it.
