Reacher Season 2 Stars Talk Series Preparation And More During Round Table

Reacher Season 2 is here and it has not disappointed. From the hard-hitting action to the suspense each episode leaves you wanting more. Well, thanks to Prime Video a few other media outlets and myself were able to sit down with season 2 actors Shaun Sipos, Serinda Swan, and Maria Stean. Here is a recap of that round table.

One of the first questions that was asked was for Maria Stean about her character and what is she going to bring to this season.

“Well, we are going to get to know her better. We are going to get to understand why she does the things she does, and get a little bit deeper into her personality, her psyche, her life, and of course her relationship with Reacher.”

Another question that came up during the round table was, how did they train and prepare for the fight scenes and what was their favorite?

Serinda Swan would start this one off. “Stunts were easy, simple, no bruises I got there already knowing what to do… No, it was really hard. It was the kind of hard work you want to do more of. We actually were just talking about this wishing we had a month beforehand, not because we were under-prepared but because we actually had so much fun.” Shaun Sipos would add, “Mine, is that bathroom thing in the house that is a brutal brawl where you really see O’Donnell outside of his depth and he is dancing with this guy; not like he is under a mistletoe or something. His life is in genuine danger.” Maria finished up, “There was one particular fight in a hospital where Neagley is having a fight with a guy. He sends hers through the glass it’s quite dramatic and I got to do that myself.”

During this round table, I had a chance to ask them about preparing for this season but through the eyes of the military. My question was, “As a former MP I ask what kind of research was done to learn about how MPs and the military operate?” Maria took this question. “A lot of research. I spoke to a lot of people, and I have a good friend of mine that was a MP for the Marines. I called him and his friend who was a female that has been deployed. That was really helpful to get that real experience of what it was like especially from a woman. And when we worked with the stunt team and the armorer they were there to support us. The more curious you are and the more willing you are the more giving they are with their knowledge.”

Reacher Season Two begins when veteran military police investigator Jack Reacher (Alan Ritchson) receives a coded message that the members of his former U.S. Army unit, the 110th MP Special Investigations, are being mysteriously and brutally murdered one by one. Pulled from his drifter lifestyle, Reacher reunites with three of his former teammates turned chosen family to investigate, including Frances Neagley (Maria Sten); Karla Dixon (Serinda Swan), a forensic accountant for whom Reacher has long had a soft spot; and fast-talking, switchblade-wielding family man David O’Donnell (Shaun Sipos).
