UPDATE: James Gunn has personally disputed THR’s report that Pom Klementieff is joining Superman: Legacy. Here is what he said when asked about it. He also Tweeted that Miriam Shor has also not been cast in the film.

Superman: Legacy has added a metric ton of new actors to the film since the SAG-AFTRA strikes ended. Now, according to The Hollywood Reporter, Pom Klementieff and Miriam Shor are both joining the film in mystery roles. Both actresses are known for working with Gunn in various films like Guardians of the Galaxy. Both were in the most recent film, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
In addition to those two, we’ve seen David Corenswet, Rachel Brosnahan, Skyler Gisondo, Sara Sampaio, Sean Gunn, Nicholas Hoult, Anthony Carrigan, Isabel Merced, and Nathan Fillion join the cast. The film is the start of a new era for DC Films, led by James Gunn and Peter Safran. Recently Klementieff starred in Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One. Shor co-stars in Maestro and American Fiction, both of which are up for awards consideration this season.
Superman: Legacy follows Superman as he tries to balance his human life and his Kryptonian heritage. Gunn wrote the script and directs the film. Superman: Legacy releases in theaters on July 11th, 2025.
