Helloween embarked on the United Forces Tour with Hammerfall starting in 2022 and it took them through 2023 playing over 60 shows across the world. Now, they’re heading back into the studio to work on a new album. The band wrote in a post to their social media:
After 60 extremely emotional shows, we are now going directly into the songwriting process and follow up production for the successor of HELLOWEEN – it will be the second release of a new era, the new time calculation for us! Find out more at http://helloween.org
They went on to thank fans for the thunderous outpouring of support for the United Forces Tour.
The world tour everyone longed-for since over two years took us to 26 countries on 3 continents. After several pandemic related postponements the UNITED FORCES TOUR finally ignited in England May 2022 and brought together more than 800.000 fans, catapulting you into an euphoric orbit for a year and a half!
We want to send our thanks to all of you, our loyal fans in Europe, the United States, Canada, Central & South America and Asia. We are incredibly grateful that you kept your tickets even with all the ongoing postponements and, that you stayed true fans, waiting patiently to finally see us live. As well, we would like to thank our friends in HAMMERFALL for accompanying us the majority of the dates and spicing up the tour with their pure Swedish metal, ensuring a sweaty, energetic and bombastic package.
A Follow-Up To Helloween?
If you haven’t heard the album Helloween, it’s a masterpiece. It’ll be hard for the band to follow up on that album because it was so damn good. It combined the voices of Andi Deris, Michael Kiske, and Kai Hansen so well. The band showed off their range and almost every member had a writing credit on the album.
We’ll have to see how the band can one-up this effort whenever this new album releases.
