Superman: Legacy casting is pretty big news in this day and age. It’s no wonder, given how the director is none other than James Gunn (Super, Guardians of the Galaxy, The Suicide Squad (2021)) himself. It looks very much like Gunn wants his not-quite-an-origin story for Superman to be a big hit. You know, what with all the big name stars that are joining the cast, one right after the other. And now, it looks like we have another pair of stars joining that cast.
Superman: Legacy ~ Casting Details
The Hollywood Reporter has just revealed that Superman: Legacy is adding another pair of big name stars to its ever-growing cast. The first one on the list is Skyler Gisondo (Air Buddies, The Righteous Gemstones, Licorice Pizza), who will be playing Jimmy Olsen. Olsen is a young photographer working for the Daily Planet, and is one of Clark Kent’s and Lois Lane’s closest friends at the news agency. With how important he is, you can bet that Gisondo is going to have a fairly big role to play.
The second new cast member joining Superman: Legacy is Sara Sampaio (The Clapper, Billions, Crisis). Sampaio will play none other than Eve Teschmacher: the assistant/secretary and sometimes even mistress (depending on the story) to one Lex Luthor. This particular casting is fascinating for multiple reasons. Sampaio herself normally doesn’t go into film roles. Mostly, she seems to prefer modelling jobs at Victoria’s Secret. However, she does have acting roles under her metaphorical belt, so this isn’t her first time in film roles. What’s even more interesting though is Teschmacher’s presence in this upcoming Superman film. It looks like Lex Luthor and his team are going to have a big role in this film. For what, we have no idea yet. However, this is Lex Luthor we’re talking about. We can bet that it will be spectacular.
Alas, that’s all for Superman news for now. Tune back in to THS later to find out more Superman: Legacy news when we hear about it.
