Nothing says “happy holidays” like demonic possession. The Exorcist: Believer officially begins streaming December 1 on Peacock.
The Exorcist: Believer marks the latest entry in the long-running, Academy Award-winning Exorcist franchise. 50 years after the terrifying original, Blumhouse connected with director David Gordon Green (Halloween) to bring a new chapter to the screen.
In The Exorcist: Believer, Victor has raised his daughter Angela alone since his wife’s death. After Angela and her friend return from a three-day disappearance with missing memories, they begin displaying frightening behavior. Victor’s best hope is to find the only person who has seen anything like this before: Chris MacNeil, whose haunting experience with her daughter Regan may be the key to combating ultimate evil.
Green wrote the screenplay with Peter Sattler and directed the film. The feature stars Leslie Odom, Jr., Lidya Jewett, Jennifer Nettles, and Norbert Leo Butz, with Ann Dowd and Ellen Burstyn.
On December 1, The Exorcist: Believer joins a lineup of other Blumhouse features available to stream on Peacock. Other titles include Black Phone, The Invisible Man (2020), The Hunt, The Purge series, and the recent release Five Nights at Freddy’s.
