It’s been a busy afternoon for fans of Marvel Studios. Between Destin Daniel Cretton leaving Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and now this news that was initially reported by DanielRPK, picked up by SlashFilm, and then confirmed by Deadline, Pedro Pascal is being eyed for the role of Reed Richards in Fantastic Four.
We’ve had months of speculation between various actors for the role, with rumors that could have been true, or just absolutely made up by anonymous “scoopers”. The deal isn’t officially done, but sources can confirm that Pascal is the man for the job. Pascal has one of the busiest schedules in Hollywood for 2024 between Gladiator 2, The Last of Us season two, and possibly Star Wars projects.
As for the rest of the Fantastic Four, we’ll have to see when we get more news. Nothing is officially confirmed until we hear it from Marvel or Kevin Feige’s mouth.
