If you haven’t heard of Striker and you love heavy metal, you’re missing out. The boys from Canada are some of the hardest-hitting and most-powerful acts in this new wave of heavy metal we’re living in. They have a new album coming out on February 2nd, 2024 titled Ultrapower. They blend classic hard rock, heavy metal, with a bit of that 80s glam flair. They’ve been around since 2007 in various incarnations, but they have a new lineup featuring guitarist John Simon Fallon.

The video was filmed in the Edmonton video store The Lobby, an institution of physical media.
They’ve been writing and recording for this album for five years since their last album Play To Win. More details like the track listing, album art, singles, and tour dates are coming at a later date. They have three previous singles that’ll all be featured on the album on release:

The best way I can describe Striker is they combine the tenets of speed/thrash metal with vocals that belong on a New Wave Of British Heavy Metal album. They’ve got a hell of a live show, so any dates they announce for Ultrapower, I’ll be hitting that show.
