Recently, Bruce Dickinson announced a new solo album titled The Mandrake Project. Now, he’s taking the show on the road to Latin America, Europe, and the UK. He also announced a new single from the album “Afterglow Of Ragnarok”. The new single comes out on December 1st alongside a vinyl version of the single with the B-side of “If Eternity Should Fail” which was on Iron Maiden’s Book of Souls record.

Here’s how Bruce describes the new track “Afterglow of Ragnarok”.

“It was important to set the tone of the project with this track,” Dickinson explains. “As befitting its title, it’s a heavy song and there’s a great big riff driving it…but there’s also a real melody in the chorus that displays the light and shade that the rest of the album brings… and just wait until you see the video!”

The Mandrake Project is described as “a dark, adult story of power, abuse, and a struggle for identity, set against the backdrop of scientific and occult genius.” There’s also a comic series coming out that tells the story of The Mandrake Project, created by Bruce Dickinson, scripted by Tony Lee, and illustrated by Staz Johnson from Z2 Comics. That comic will launch in 2024.
