Remember Chuck E. Cheese? How about the mouse mascot’s animatronic band? Well, if you head over to Northridge, California, you can experience the Munch’s Make Believe Band once more.
During the company’s first-ever live press conference, Mr. Charles Entertainment Cheese himself announced the return of the animatronic band to the Northridge location. The family entertainment center located near Los Angeles will become the nation’s only location to bring the band back out of retirement.
“We love performing so much, it’s practically hard-wired into us,” Chuck E. joked during the press conference.
The Make Believe Band features Mr. Munch on keyboards, Jasper T. Jowls on guitar, Helen Henny on vocals, and Pasqually on drums. The company hopes bringing the animatronics back to Northridge for daily performances will result in past and present fans stopping back Chuck E. Cheese for a visit.
“As an important part of the legacy of the brand, we know that the animatronic band holds a special place for many fans in their childhood memories,” said David McKillips, President and CEO of Chuck E. Cheese parent company, CEC Entertainment. “We want our fans to know that the decision to keep the band here is meant as a gesture of love and gratitude as our legacy continues to evolve in new ways.”
As a company, Chuck E. Cheese has been working on various upgrades to their entertainment centers in the past few years. Recent changes and enhancements include new state-of-the-art interactive dance floors, a giant video wall and screens, popular kid-focused arcade games, and new trampoline zones in locations across the nation.
Chuck E. Cheese Northridge will host a Grand Re-Opening Party on November 10 from 6-8pm. The first 25 families will receive an hour of free All You Can Play time. All attendees will have the chance to win prizes and enjoy a free collectible poster and cake. And of course, everyone will also get to see a special performance by the newly re-animated band.
