As for the sequel, because the first film ended so decisively, there’s no details about plot or casting. It’s unknown if Ethan Hawke will reprise his role as The Grabber. The first film came from the director-writer duo of Scott Derrickson and C. Robert Cargill. The rest of the cast included Madeleine McGraw, Jeremy Davies, E. Roger Mitchell, Troy Rudeseal, James Ransone, and Miguel Cazarez Mora. The film grossed $160 million worldwide on a fraction of that in budget.
Blumhouse is busy with the sequel business at the moment. They’ve got Five Nights At Freddy’s in theaters now, which will surely get another movie. They also have M3GAN 2.0 and The Exorcist: Deceiver in the pipeline after those movies released this year. 2025 is shaping up to be a huge year for horror already.
