Grab your stakes and your best ‘90s fit. We’re headed to Sunnydale! Buffy the Vampire Slayer fans won’t want to miss this special Homecoming party event.

On October 14, you’re invited to attend Sunnydale Homecoming at Torrance High School (aka Sunnydale High in the Buffy series). The party will feature an immersive theater performance, themed photo ops and decor, dancing, airbrush tattoos, special vendors and more. Plus, you’ll have the chance to explore the campus and spot locations from the series.

Sunnydale Homecoming is a fundraising event organized by Fandom Charities Inc., a 501(c)3 nonprofit. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Los Angeles LGBT Center and the Ron Glass Memorial Scholarship from the Al Wooten Jr. Youth Center.

Unleash the Buffyverse character residing within you by adorning yourself in cosplay attire or bewitching homecoming ensemble. Gather your Scooby Gang, channel the essence of Sunnydale’s finest, and enjoy a night etched in supernatural splendor. With music, dancing, and immersive entertainment activities that mirror the adventures of Buffy and her gang, this is more than an event – it’s a voyage back to the heart of a story that has continued to captivate hearts globally.

Slaying for a cause

Fandom Charities Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit established in 2007 and run entirely by volunteers, with the goal to raise funds for charitable causes through exciting and engaging fandom events and educational activities. With decorating help from Damn Good Shindig, the nonprofit will host Sunnydale Homecoming to benefit:

  • Los Angeles LGBT Center: Since 1969 the Los Angeles LGBT Center has cared for, championed, and celebrated LGBT+ individuals and families in Los Angeles and beyond. They are an unstoppable force in the fight against bigotry and the struggle to build a better world, a world in which LGBTQ+ people can be healthy, equal, and complete members of society.
  • Al Wooten Jr. Youth Center: The Ron Glass Memorial Scholarship comes from the Al Wooten Jr. Youth Center — a neighborhood approach to the revitalization and empowerment of a community in crisis. They foster a safe and nurturing environment committed to good citizenship and academic excellence by providing college and career readiness for grades 3-12. They’re making a difference for life!
