The 2023 remake of Resident Evil 4 has been teasing the Separate Ways DLC for quite some time now. After all, that mini-campaign was in the original 2005 version back when the Nintendo GameCube was a thing. It only makes perfect sense for that mini-campaign featuring fan favorite Ada Wong to make a reappearance in the modernized 2023 version. Fortunately, we now know we will soon get it. All thanks to that new launch trailer Capcom just released for that DLC. Don’t believe me? Then why not see that launch trailer below, and revel in the 2005 survival horror nostalgia for yourself?
Resident Evil 4 Remake ~ Separate Ways DLC: Details
Capcom is proud to officially reveal the launch trailer for the Separate Ways DLC for Resident Evil 4 (2023) on the Resident Evil official website and YouTube. Said launch trailer reveals that the broad strokes of this DLC is the same as it was in the 2005 original. Ada Wong is still the main character of this DLC, with she still trying to retrieve something from Luis Serra for Albert Wesker.
It’s in the details where this modern 2023 version of the Separate Ways DLC differs. Ada appears to have a friendlier relationship with Luis this time. Not only that, but it looks like she’s infected with Los Plagas herself too for some reason. Why is something we’ll find out in the DLC. It’s not just Ada though. We see that the other Verdugo that guarded Salazar will finally make an appearance as a boss battle…hopefully. Fans of the 2005 original have been wondering where it went for the past 18 years, so it would be nice to get a conclusion to that enemy. Finally, Resident Evil fans will notice that Albert Wesker is making an appearance in this Separate Ways DLC for whatever reasons of his own.
Fortunately, it won’t be long until we find out what those reasons are. The Separate Ways DLC for the Resident Evil 4 remake will launch on September 21, 2023. It is a paid DLC though, which you can download on that release date for PC, PS4, PS5, and Xbox Series S/X.
