The hit legal drama, The Lincoln Lawyer, has been renewed for a third season by Netflix. The series is based on the book series by author Michael Connely. The new season will be based on the fifth book in the series, The Gods of Guilt. Season 3 will be 10 episodes and once again feature Manuel Garcia-Rulfo as Mickey Haller aka The Lincoln Lawyer. Season 2 of The Lincoln Lawyer was released in two parts with the first premiering on July 6 and the second on August 3. The Lincoln Lawyer has been quite successful for Netflix so far. The streamer reported a cumulative 40 million views as of August 29, reaching the Top 10 in 81 countries. No release date has been announced for the new season, but as soon as more information is released we will share it here at That Hashtag Show.
ABOUT THE LINCOLN LAWYER S3
Mickey Haller (Manuel Garcia-Rulfo), an iconoclastic idealist, runs his law practice out of the back seat of his Lincoln, as he takes on cases big and small across the expansive city of Los Angeles.
Along with Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Season 3 of The Lincoln Lawyer will see the return of several cast members. Becki Newton (Lorna), Jazz Raycole (Izzy), Angus Sampson (Cisco), and Yaya DaCosta (Andrea Freemann) will all reprise their roles. However, there is one notable absence for the new season, Neve Campbell (Maggie McPherson). Campbell did appear in Season 2, though in a somewhat smaller role. With her character ending season two by taking a new job away from LA, the absence is not completely unexpected. Fans will certainly hope that this will not be a permanent change and that Campbell could return in future seasons. While not a guarantee, a return does seem more likely than not, given the prominent role the character plays in later books in the series. Assuming the Netflix series continues to follow the storylines of the Connely books, Maggie McPherson will need to return.
Ted Humphrey and Dailyn Rodriguez, Co-Showrunners/Executive Producers, The Lincoln Lawyer:
The audience response to the show has been so gratifying and wonderful, and we are thrilled to have the opportunity to dive back into Michael Connelly’s universe and bring Mickey Haller and his world to the screen again.
