If you’re in the South Bay area, there’s no question about what the biggest haunted house is come Halloween. (Or any other time of the year.) This spooky season, the Winchester Mystery House will officially launch the immersive experience “Unhinged: Housewarming.” 

Unhinged: Housewarming will feature a brand-new origin storyline, complete with new characters, scares, and experiences.

“Hot on the heels of our  Centennial celebration, we are thrilled to take guests on a journey back to Hallowe’en night 1923, for a Haunted Housewarming party they’ll not soon forget!” said Winchester Mystery House Executive Director Walter Magnuson.

The year is 1923. Following the death of Sarah Winchester in the fall of 1922, Miles and Flora Taylor—an  esteemed Hollywood couple—have taken residence of the infamous Winchester Mystery House and extended an invitation to the grandest housewarming event of the century. But beware, as the night  progresses a mysterious air settles in, revealing that there is more to this gathering than meets the eye. 

Experiences include:

  • Roaring 20s Garden Party: Guests will begin their experience at a Roaring 20s Garden Party, taking place in the front garden of the Winchester Mystery House. Enjoy live entertainment, character interactions, games, photo opportunities, themed food and drinks, and more!
  • Mansion Haunt and Beware the Mists Scare Zone: Following the Garden Party, guests will follow the winding paths up to the Estate. There, they will confront what lurks in the halls of the Winchester House, before venturing back outside and through an additional scare zone.
  • Halloween Museum: New for Fall 2023, Winchester Mystery House will host an expertly curated Halloween Museum. The captivating museum celebrates all things eerie and vintage, dedicated to preserving the enchanting spirit of Halloween from decades past. The Halloween Museum is free to all guests throughout the months of September and October 2023.

General Admission tickets begin at $64.99. General Admission access includes one route of the indoor haunt; the outside scare zone; limited time at the Halloween Museum; interactive games; food and drinks; sideshow entertainers; and themed photo opportunities.

RIP Admission tickets begin at $89.99. RIP Admission access includes early arrival to the estate and expedited access through two haunt routes, in addition to GA perks. Guests will also receive an RIP Unhinged limited edition lanyard, a complimentary drink voucher, an Unhinged shirt for a haunting keepsake, and a coupon for 10% off merch.
