Fans in attendance to the Saw X panel at Midsummer Scream in Long Beach, CA were treated to the first ever look at Saw X. About an hour later, Lionsgate posted the following Red-Band trailer online.
As someone who was in the room for the trailer reveal, I’ve only felt that kind of energy from a group of people for a trailer at Marvel reveals. This was a thunderous ovation and response. According to the producers and director for the film Kevin Greutert, the film has been testing well across the board wherever they show it.
Here’s the synopsis for Saw X.
John Kramer (Tobin Bell) is back. The most disturbing installment of the SAW franchise yet explores the untold chapter of Jigsaw’s most personal game. Set between the events of SAW I and II, a sick and desperate John travels to Mexico for a risky and experimental medical procedure in hopes of a miracle cure for his cancer – only to discover the entire operation is a scam to defraud the most vulnerable. Armed with a newfound purpose, the infamous serial killer returns to his work, turning the tables on the con artists in his signature visceral way through devious, deranged, and ingenious traps.
Saw X releases in theaters on September 29th, 2023.
