Heartstopper is back for another season, which only makes sense given the crazy global reception from the first.
The British coming-of-age romantic comedy-drama first made waves after debuting on Netflix last year in April. Just like season one, there will be eight episodes for season two.
Fans may have had to wait over a year for the show to return. However, they are just weeks away from the new episodes.
And as if everyone wasn’t excited enough, Netflix has released the official trailer to their YouTube channel.

Proving to be highly anticipated, the trailer has already racked up half a million views in just four hours.
Season 2 will take a “deeper look” at the characters
Following Season 1, the new episodes will continue on from Charlie (Joe Locke) and Nick (Kit Connor) forming their relationship.
We also learn that Elle (Yasmin Finney) and Tao (William Gao) struggle with their feelings for one another while Tara (Corinna Brown) and Darcy (Kizzy Edgell) may also have complications. In addition to their life at school and at home, the gang embark on a trip to Paris.
“In season 2, the characters are all maturing in their romances, their identities, and their outlooks on life and the future,” creator Alice Oseman said about the upcoming episodes, adding, “They all feel a little older and wiser, and with that comes a whole host of new experiences and emotions.”
“While season 1 followed a typical romance story structure, season 2 takes a deeper look into teen relationships of various stages and sees the characters begin to explore more complex emotional truths about themselves and each other,” she continued.
Despite the show’s massive success, Oseman has stated that fans shouldn’t expect any spin-offs, explaining, “I don’t want to make things just to make money. The integrity of the story is important to me.”
