FX is known for its elaborate activations at San Diego Comic-Con. They brought out the big guns for their upcoming and current series this year. First off, they gave a lot of space and attention to a new series coming next year, Shogun. A group showed off how to make mochi and a samurai-choreographed fight on their main stage. As for any actual looks at the show, that was a bit light. The show is set for release on Hulu and FX next year. It stars Hiroyuki Sanada, Cosmo Jarvis, and Tadanobu Asano.

Next up was an igloo featuring an airplane ride and a look at the Northern Lights. A Murder At The End Of The World. The show stars Harris Dickinson, Alice Braga, Clive Owen, Emma Corrin, Brit Marling, Raul Esparza, Jermaine Fowler, Joan Chen, and Louis Cancelmi. The show follows a murder mystery set in one of the most remote locations on Earth. The actual activation gave us glowy FX rings and a notebook that was mocked up to look like a book. The show premieres on FX on August 29th, 2023.

A Murder at the End of the World’ FX

The AHS section was already closed when we went in at night for the activation. However, during the day, they were handing out shots and had creepy medical practitioners. We got a quick-cut sizzle reel for the upcoming season of the long-running series that stars Emma Roberts, Cara Delevingne, and Kim Kardashian. The premise for the season is based on the novel Delicate Condition by Danielle Valentine. The season has been halted due to the ongoing Writer’s and SAG-AFTRA strikes, but should pick back up when those are resolved.

Finally, they went through the wonderful world of What We Do In The Shadows. They had two very party-happy vampires out front that were dancing and taking pictures with people. This theme was similar to the vibes of the current season five, with vampire sunscreen dispensers and more.

Overall, FX puts on a great show with their Comic-Con activations. They dominated the marketing and word-of-mouth at the Convention with an absolutely massive poster on the side of the largest hotel by the convention.
