Fans of TYPE-MOON’s Tsukihime visual novel might be aware that it got a remake in the form of Tsukihime: A Piece of Blue Glass Moon back in August 26, 2021. This remake included updated HD artwork, fully voiced dialogue, and even a completely rewritten narrative by original creator Kinoko Nasu. Alas, this remake never got released outside of Japan for some reason. I guess no NA company thought a vampire romance would sell outside of Japan or something. No company, that is, until Aniplex of America came along.

TSUKIHIME – A piece of blue glass moon: Details

TSUKIHIME - A piece of blue glass moon NA key visual with credits.
A celebrated and very dark and bloody romance to boot.

At Anime Expo 2023, Aniplex of America revealed that they will finally be localizing TSUKIHIME – A piece of blue glass moon. Thus, this remake of one of the most famous visual novels in history will finally be getting a NA release. Heck, it’s not just a NA release. This release will be worldwide for a global gamer audience. That likely means that we’ll get translations for this visual novel not just in English, but in other languages as well. Sadly, we have no information about what other languages this localization will encompass. That’s something we’ll have to wait for TYPE-MOON and/or Aniplex of America to reveal to us later.

Fortunately, we do have a release window for TSUKIHIME – A piece of blue glass moon for you all. Unfortunately, it’s a rather vague release window of 2024. It could mean anything from January to December at this point. We have no idea which is the case until TYPE-MOON and/or Aniplex of America give us a more specific release date. Tune back in to THS later to find that out when we do.
