*There Are Spoilers For Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 Ahead*

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 released in theaters earlier this year and swept the box office and our hearts. It was the conclusion to James Gunn‘s run with these characters that he popularized with his Marvel Studios films. The film had plenty of emotion and sadness, mostly thanks to the villain, The High Evolutionary (played by Chukwudi Iwuji). A new deleted scene from the upcoming Digital and Blu-ray/4K release of the film shows off his fate.

In the film’s final cut, The High Evolutionary is thought to be dead. However, fans with good eyesight caught Drax carrying the villain’s limp body during the finale on his doomed vessel. James Gunn confirmed that the High Evolutionary survived the events of the film.

Now, IGN has a clip from the film’s digital release showing off his fate. It does feature unfinished digital effects, but it’s a deleted scene. What more can you ask for?

Details Of The New Clip

The High Evolutionary is brought back to Knowhere and locked away by Rocket Raccoon in the clip. The tables have turned, and The High Evolutionary finds himself locked in a cage. The scene also shows Kraglin (Sean Gunn) recruiting Adam Warlock (Will Poulter) to join the Guardians of the Galaxy. The post-credits scene for the film shows off a new team of Guardians with Rocket, Kraglin, Phyla-Vell, and Adam.

This is one of eight deleted scenes for the upcoming home video release of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. It also features a gag reel, director’s commentary, and much more bonus content. Guardians Vol. 3 arrives on digital on July 7th and on Blu-ray/4K UHD on August 1st.

This is surely good news for people who want to see more of Chukwudi Iwuji’s performance. He was lauded as one of the MCU’s best villains for his demented and evil character. We’ll have to see if we get more of him in the future for the MCU.
