This summer, Disney will drop a new Haunted Mansion movie. The feature premieres in theaters July 28… which will leave you just enough time to catch it before doing a deep-dive during Midsummer Scream.
The Long Beach horror convention will present Happy Haunts Materialize! Behind the Scenes of Disney’s Haunted Mansion on Sunday, July 30, the final day of the convention. The panel guests include Haunted Mansion producer Jonathan Eirich, costume designer Jeffrey Kurland, and editor Phillip Bartell. Members of The Boo Crew Podcast Lauren and Trevor Shand and Leone D’Antonio will host the discussion.
The panel’s filmmakers will discuss bringing Haunted Mansion to life, sharing behind-the-scenes anecdotes and insight about the process of bringing one of Disney’s most beloved attractions to the screen.
About Haunted Mansion
In this mysterious adventure, a doctor and her 9-year-old son, looking to start a new life, move into a strangely affordable mansion in New Orleans, only to discover that the place is much more than they bargained for. Desperate for help, they contact a priest, who, in turn, enlists the aid of a widowed scientist-turned failed-paranormal expert, a French Quarter psychic, and a crotchety historian.
Haunted Mansion is inspired by the much-loved attraction at Disney theme parks.
