Nintendo Direct is the time for Nintendo to reveal their upcoming games, even games with no connections to previous franchises like the upcoming Silent Hope. Never heard of this upcoming Nintendo Switch game? Me neither, but that’s what makes it so exciting. Don’t believe me on that? Then why not see the trailer for yourself straight from Nintendo Direct 2023 below, and see if a roguelike base-building RPG with a very interesting story and setting is your kind of video game?
Silent Hope: Details
Nintendo Direct 2023 is proud to reveal Silent Hope in a new trailer on YouTube. Said trailer reveals a rather fascinating Nintendo Switch game. From the looks of it, it’s a roguelike RPG game of a similar nature to Hades, complete with the ability to build and upgrade a base camp. Those of us gamers who like base-building games like Subnautica might find that aspect to be especially fascinating. The game even features especially cutesy graphics for the characters and enemies alike as a nice treat.
On top of all of that, the story and setting of Silent Hope are especially fascinating. It’s apparently a world where everyone is basically mute as a result of a magical curse on the land inflicted by a previous king. I would love to see just how the writers build this kind of world. Maybe everyone in the setting uses a form of sign language to communicate since they can’t speak. It would be incredible if the writers come up with their own constructed sign language just for this game. Granted, I may be wrong about that, but it’d be a very nice detail if I’m right.
It will be a while before we get to find out if I’m right about that sign language though. The end of the Nintendo Direct 2023 trailer reveals that Silent Hope will make its debut on October 3, 2023. Unfortunately, there’s no preorder option yet as of this writing. All we can do is wishlist the game on either Nintendo eShop or Steam, and hope that the preorder comes soon.
