Does anyone remember that spinoff/expansion of Far Cry 3 back in 2013: Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon? It was basically one big homage to/parody of 1980s sci-fi action films and other media. I mean seriously, the main character has the name of Sergeant Rex “Power” Colt. How much more 80s can you get than that? Well, as it turns out: Ubisoft has decided that game would make a great animated series on Netflix. Why else would they release a teaser for said animated series, which has the very distinct title of Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix? Don’t believe me? Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix ~ The Bloody Details

Netflix and Ubisoft are proud to announce the hilariously titled Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix via that official teaser trailer on YouTube above. Said teaser reveals that Ubisoft is going all out for this upcoming animated series, with so many references to their games in this series. In particular, Assassin’s Creed fans would definitely notice the reference here, even if the Assassin appears to be an anthropomorphic frog thing.

Even better, Netflix and Ubisoft are giving us a release window for this upcoming animated series. Apparently, Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix will make its retro-futuristic debut sometime in Fall 2023. Unfortunately, we don’t have a more exact release date than that for you all. Adi Shankar voices Red from the Niji Six in the show, inspired by Rainbow Six Siege. “Balak” lends his voice as the sweet but deadly Assassin, Bullfrog, inspired by Assassin’s Creed.
