Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is just days away from its official US theatrical debut. Yet despite this, the producers are already talking about the upcoming sequel. No, wait, hold on, there’s even more. Not only are the producers talking about that sequel, but they also want to go even further beyond that. So far beyond that, they want Miles Morales to go full 3D into live-action.

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse ~ Into the Live-Action Adaptation?!

Maybe soon, the next bit of news we’ll be hearing is Shameik Moore getting to play Miles Morales on camera?

Variety has just revealed that the producers behind Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse have been saying some very interesting things about their future projects. 3 of them, in fact. The first project is the aforementioned live-action film adaptation of Miles Morales’ story. According to producer Amy Pascal, this live-action Miles Morales film is currently “in the works”, but that’s it. They’re being pretty cagey with the details at the moment.

The second project is another film featuring Spider-Woman. None of the producers mention which Spider-Woman this film will be about. All we know for certain is that it will star the distaff counterpart to Spider-Man. Amy Pascal also only reveals that this film is “in the works”, but other producer Avi Arad reveals that we will see this Spider-Woman film “sooner than you expect”. This might mean that this will be the producers’ next project after Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse or even Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. We don’t know, unfortunately.

Finally, Amy Pascal also reveals that a fourth live-action Spider-Man film with Tom Holland and Zendaya is in the works as well. However, the ongoing Writers Guild of America strike has ground production for that upcoming film to a halt. Pascal insists that they will resume production when the strike is concluded, but not a minute before then. When will that be? Well, tune back in to THS later to find that out when we do.
