Paramount Pictures seems really keen on trying to convince people to watch their latest Transformers film: Transformers: Rise of the Beasts. It’s not surprising, really. Especially considering the massive success its predecessor Bumblebee (2018) enjoyed. What is surprising is how Paramount are trying to convince people to watch this latest Transformers film. I mean, what else can you call a new featurette video as anything but an attempt to hype the film up? Don’t believe me? Then why not check out that featurette video for yourself below?

“Meet the New Characters” Featurette: Details

Kind of strange that there’s no subtitles though, but whatever.

Paramount Pictures is proud to hype up Transformers: Rise of the Beasts with this new “Meet the New Characters” featurette on YouTube. Said featurette does exactly what it says in the title. We meet the new main characters for this latest Transformers film, both human and robot.

We see the focus human characters of Transformers: Rise of the Beasts in the form of Noah Diaz (played by Anthony Ramos) the ex-soldier who’s trying to care for his family amidst the giant fighting robots, and Elena Wallace (played by Dominique Fishback) the museum worker who seems understandable overwhelmed by the giant fighting robots. However, we also get a look at the focus Autobot: a relatively little and cocky guy named Mirage, who can make illusions of himself as his name suggests. And who turns into a Porsche 964 Carrera RS 3.8 to boot. We’ll have to see what Paramount plans to do with these characters once we see the actual film.

Nothing like a robot gorilla to scream “Beast”.

Which, by the way, won’t be long now. The end of that featurette reveals that Transformers: Rise of the Beasts will premiere in theaters on June 9, 2023. In fact, you be pre-purchase tickets for it right now on its official website. There’s also an Early Access fan event taking place 2 days early on June 7, 2023. If you want to see the film just a bit earlier than everyone else, you might want to check that out.
