I had a chance to see Follow Her at Screamfest in 2022. The film follows an aspiring actress who responds to a mysterious classified ad. Then, she finds herself trapped in her new boss’s twisted revenge fantasy. The film stars Dani Barker (who also write the film), as well as Luke Cook (The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina), and Eliana Jones.
Follow Her is a fun, twisted, commentary horror film that follows old-school rules. I found the characters to be fun, the storyline to be interesting, and the twists and turns kept me on my toes. The film isn’t perfect and could use some help really nailing the ending. That said, it was my 2nd favorite film of the festival.
Now, the film is finally hitting select theaters, as well as VOD on June 2, 2023!

SYNOPSIS: Jess (Dani Barker) has finally found her hook: secretly filming creepy interactions she encounters via online job listings, and using the kinks of others to fuel her streaming success. For her next episode, she’s been hired by Tom (Luke Cook) to write the ending of a screenplay in a remote, lavish cabin. Once there, the alluring self-proclaimed screenwriter hands her a script in which the two of them are the main characters. This client isn’t what he seems, and even though the money’s great… the real payment here could cost her life. Follow Her is a psycho-sexual thriller which questions the ethical boundaries of social media.
