Adam Driver is an American actor who started his film career in supporting roles in films such as Lincoln, Frances Ha, and Inside Llewyn Davis. However, most people these days won’t remember him for those roles. Not since Disney hired him to play Kylo Ren in the sequel trilogy back in 2015 starting with Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Everyone remembers Kylo Ren, for good and for ill, but unfortunately, mostly the latter. However, new rumors are whispering in the shadows. These rumors seem to sing of…the Fantastic Four?!
Adam Driver in the New Fantastic Four?!
The Direct is the one who broke these latest rumors, but they’re not the source. According to them: scooper Daniel Richtman has learned that Adam Driver is in final talks to be in the latest attempt to turn Fantastic Four into a successful superhero film series. Not just in any old role either. These final talks are apparently for Driver to play none other than Reed Richards, aka: Mr. Fantastic himself. Apparently, Marvel Studios and Disney really want Kylo Ren as Mr. Fantastic for reasons yet unknown.
As you might expect though, there is absolutely no confirmation from either Marvel Studios, Adam Driver, or anyone/anything else that these rumors are true. None whatsoever. In fact, it may be a very long while before we get any casting rumors about this latest Fantastic Four film at all. According to The Direct, the casting for this film is extremely “thorough”. Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige himself is deeply involved in that casting process, actually. Thus, don’t hold your breath waiting for any official confirmation of Adam Driver’s casting. Tune back into THS much later to find out if these casting rumors bear any fruit.
