In order to continue the celebration of Warner Bros’ 100 years anniversary, Fever’s Candlelight concert series is playing iconic music from their vast library. I had a chance to attend the Los Angeles concert on the Warner Bros Lot. Might I say, it was a spectacular experience.
As soon as you walk into the theater you are surrounded by 100s of (electric) candles. When it’s showtime, the lights dim and you are left in the glow. Yes, this concert is fully executed by candlelight.
100 Years of Warner Bros Performed by the Orchid Quartet
The musical scores are performed by the magical Orchid Quartet. These women are incredible musicians. The group has toured with the likes of Ariana Grande, Adele, Panic! at the Disco, Hans Zimmer, as well as Game of Thrones Live featuring Ramin Djawadi. They have also performed or recorded for artists including Eminem, David Foster, Andrea Bocelli, Miley Cyrus, and Portugal. The Man, Kendrick Lamar, Pentatonix, Imagine Dragons, Christina Aguilera, KYGO, Olivia Rodrigo, Sting, Damian Marley, Richard Marx, Alicia Keys, Halsey, Josh Groban, John Debney, The Chainsmokers, Alien Ant Farm, Frank Ocean, Steel Panther, and Iggy Azalea.
They are also not unfamiliar with movie scores since they have performed on films such as The Jungle Book, The Lion King, X-men: Dark Phoenix, SpongeBob Squarepants 3, Geostorm, 10 Cloverfield Lane, The Nun, Bad Boys II, Home Sweet Home Alone, First Man, and many more.
The songs chosen for the set ranged from classics from Singing in the Rain, Casablanca, The Wizard of Oz, Batman, and so many more. Listening to the Orchid Quartet perform the iconic film scores/songs from the Warner Bros 100 Year library is absolutely magical. You can hear each song come alive, and you can also tell they enjoy the music. Listening to them play transports you back to the first time you watched these films and heard the music.

The Candlelight Concert by Fever we attended on May 13, 2023 was horrible!
Ridiculous number of errors made from the players. Yes, players not musicians. It was obvious they were inexperienced, very young amateurs. One of them announced it was her first concert seemingly to apologize for how poorly they played. This group needs to practice for a few more years before they play another event that people spend their hard earned on money to see! They also need to learn how to tune their instruments properly, play to tempo and to play in a quartet. They butchered every song. The songs were incomplete and very oddly produced. It was difficult to recognize what they were playing at times. We have been to high school recitals that were a 1000% more professional than these players. Many people left early from a 1 hour event. We didn’t want to be rude and walk out, but it was excruciating to stay to the end. It was sad that the players shamelessly begged for money/tips in a tip jar and through Venmo and social media followers and tags every couple of songs. They must not be able to hear themselves or recognize that very few people applauded. The concept of a candlelight string quartet playing inside a candle lit location is a nice idea but this event was painful to get through. In addition, many of the candles were burned out and not remotely close to the number of candles as in the promotional photos. The building was smelly, musty and moldy. There wasn’t any air-condition or fans running. The next morning, we woke up with headaches and allergy problems. This experience was awful! Never again!😖 😱
