In a time when we don’t know what is going on with Disney and the next Star Wars movie, it is always good to hear some positive news once in a while. And that positive news could be coming to us later today at Star Wars Celebration in London. It seems that a very familiar face will be directing a new Star Wars movie here in the near future. Of course, as you can tell by the title of this article the director will be none other than Dave Filoni.

A Dave Filoni Directed Will Be Announced At Star Wars Celebration

It seems like everything that Dave Filoni touches turns to Beskar. So, it would be a no-brainer for Disney to have Filoni direct a Star Wars movie or two. So why am I bringing this up? Well, thanks to a report from journalist and insider Jeff Sneider it looks like we will be seeing Filoni in the director’s chair for an upcoming Star Wars movie. Also, Sneider is reporting that this announcement will be made today at Star Wars Celebration. You can check out his report on his podcast The Hot Mic.

Okay, they are hearing that (his sources), and this shouldn’t be a gigantic surprise, but they keep hearing, and I told you last week there’s going to be three Star Wars movies that are announced tomorrow. One is Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy’s movie, the one that Lindelof left, and then there’s two others. We don’t really have any details, well I guess one is Taika Waititi’s if they officially do that. But, this other one I keep hearing, grain of salt, I hear that Dave Filoni is going to get one of the three movies.

Dave Filoni, I guess, is going to be directing. I think one of the movies will be his. I’m told they’re trying to codify the Star Wars universe around the world that Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni have created, which is why these other movies are sort of being killed. So, it sounds like Dave Filoni is the new George Lucas in terms of designing the universe going forward.”

Now, just like Snider said take this with a grain of salt because nothing has been confirmed as of now. But that can change in just a few hours when Star Wars Celebration kicks off in London.
