Joker: Folie A Deux has wrapped filming and to celebrate, director Todd Phillips shared the first official image of Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn from the film. He posted the following on Instagram.
That’s a wrap. Thanks to these two (+ the entire cast) and the BEST crew that the film industry has to offer. From top to bottom. Gonna crawl into a cave now (edit room) and put it all together.
Joker: Folie A Deux has a release date of October 4th, 2024. The only other time the iconic DC Comics character has been played in live-action has been Margot Robbie‘s performances in The Suicide Squad, Suicide Squad, and Birds of Prey. Joaquin Phoenix returns as joker alongside Zazie Beetz, Brendan Gleeson, and Catherine Keener. Todd Phillips and Scott Silver wrote the screenplay.
“Folie A Deux” means “shared psychosis” or “shared delusional disorder” which almost assuredly is for the relationship between Joker and Harley Quinn.
We’ll have to see how the film turns out when it comes out next October.
