UPDATE: It seems that AC/DC, Guns N’ Roses, and Tool have all posted similar teasers about the Power Trip show. That would confirm rumors that they’re the additional headliners for the gargantuan heavy metal/hard rock festival.

Coachella? No, that’s definitely not metal enough. Time for California to bring out Power Trip. It’s rumored and teased by all three band’s social media channels that Iron Maiden, Metallica, and Ozzy Osbourne could be potential headliners for the first festival in Southern California.

The PRP is reporting that the festival will be held October 6th to 8th at the Empire Polo Grounds in Indio, CA. This doesn’t have to do with the excellent thrash metal band Power Trip, but the promoters behind Desert Trip, Goldenvoice.

You can see the posts from Ozzy, Maiden, and Metallica below. Metallica doesn’t have tour dates for October 6th-8th on their upcoming 72 Seasons World Tour. Iron Maiden also doesn’t have tour dates for October, especially in the US, and Ozzy Osbourne was forced to retire from touring heavily due to health issues. He could still play gigs, hopefully.

We’ll have to see what the festival is all about when a full lineup reveal comes out on Thursday, March 30th.
