As Trigun Stampede fans might know, the 12th episode of the CGI anime just made its debut on Crunchyroll on March 25, 2023. Judging from the episode and its pretty lunar ending, it looks like the final episode of this Space Western anime. However, as it turns out, it’s only the final episode of this season. How else do you interpret this bit of news of a “Final Phase” in the works?
An Incoming “Final Phase” After the Finale?
The official social media accounts for Trigun Stampede (including their Twitter account) recently announced that a “Final Phase” of the anime is in the works. It’s really a remarkably quick announcement, considering that they made it on the same day Ep. 12 made its debut. It sounds like studio Orange is just as eager to make this “Final Phase” as we are to see it.
Unfortunately, none of these announcements reveal any information on when we’ll get to see this “Final Phase” of Trigun Stampede. The most we got is that it’s “coming soon”, and that’s it. None of the announcements even mention what form this “Final Phase” will take. Will be an entire new 12-episode season 2? Will it just be an hour-long anime special? An anime film? Who knows? We’ll just have to wait for them to tell us at a later date. Tune back into THS later to find those details out when we do.
