I had a chance to sit down with the iconic Jeremy Jordan (Supergirl) to discuss his new film, Spinning Gold. The film tells of the story of unsung music legend, Neil Bogart as well as his label, Casablanca Records. Casablanca Records is the most successful independent record company of all time.

Neil founded the label in 1973. They released albums by  KissDonna SummerVillage PeopleCher, and many more icons defining a generation. Now, the story of the label is coming to life on the big screen with the film. On top of which, they are releasing an incredible soundtrack to go with it.

Written, directed, and produced by Timothy Scott Bogart, Spinning Gold features some of today’s hottest music stars playing the artist who inspired them, as well as singing their most popular songs. The all-star cast includes Grammy and Golden Globe nominee Wiz Khalifa as George Clinton, Jason Derulo as Ron Isley, Pink Sweat$ as Bill Withers, Grammy Award nominee Tayla Parx as Donna Summer, multi-Grammy winner Ledisi as Gladys Knight, as well as Grammy and Tony Award nominee Jeremy Jordan as Neil Bogart.

Atlantic Records will release the film’s full soundtrack digitally on March 31. However, a new track will debut digitally each Friday leading up to the soundtrack’s release. You can currently listen to the first song, Pink Sweat$’s cover of the Bill Withers classic “Ain’t No Sunshine”.

Spinning Gold hits theaters nationwide on March 31, 2023!
