Does anyone remember that old Nintendo DS video game Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective? It was a somewhat little-known mystery adventure game by Shu Takumi, the creator of the Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney games. Nintendo released it in NA back in January 11, 2011; so it’s very likely not many people nowadays have even heard of this gem of a game. The Resurrected Phantom Detective is on the Case…Again!
Capcom USA is proud to announce their upcoming remaster of Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective with the YouTube trailer above. Said trailer shows off not only the game’s remastered HD graphics but also the updated soundtrack. Yes, you heard me right. This 12-year-old game is also getting a remastered soundtrack by Yasumasa Kitagawa, who was one of the composers who worked on the music for The Great Ace Attorney games, which are basically prequels to the Ace Attorney games. So you can expect both a treat for the eyes and for the ears.
This HD remaster of Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective will make its debut on June 30, 2023. This game will be for PC via Steam, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch for $29.99. Plus, those who preorder the game will get 4 screen backgrounds and a pair of exclusive music tracks as preorder bonuses. If those appeal to you, then you might want to think about preordering it.
