So, now, the series is a gritty family drama that has given new depth to some of our favorite characters of the past. We had a chance to sit down with Bel-Airs new showrunner, Carla Banks Waddles! Set in modern-day Los Angeles, Peacock’s successful one-hour drama series Bel-Air imagines the beloved sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air through a new, dramatic take on Will’s complicated journey from the streets of West Philadelphia to the gated mansions of Bel-Air.

So, Bel-Air stars Jabari Banks, Adrian Holmes, Cassandra Freeman, Olly Sholotan, Coco Jones, Akira Akbar, Jimmy Akingbola, and Jordan L. Jones, as well as Simone Joy Jones. The series is Produced by Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group, as well as Westbrook Studios.
