AFC Richmond is back in the Premier League, and Ted Lasso is almost back on our screens. The third season of the Emmy-winning comedy premieres on Apple TV+ in just a few weeks. Now, we’ve got a closer look at what to expect in the new season.
Check out the official trailer for Ted Lasso season 3 below.
Ted Lasso follows an American football coach (Jason Sudeikis) hired to manage a British soccer team; what Ted lacks in knowledge, he makes up for in optimism, determination, and biscuits.
The trailer doesn’t do much to tease the interactions to come in season 3; the sound largely focuses on playing The Rolling Stones’ “You Can’t Always Get What You Want” instead of showcasing any dialogue. But the visuals reveal some key details: the Richmond team training, Ted reuniting with his son Henry, Nate’s new role at West Ham, and of course, Biscuits with the Boss.
The clip does throw in a couple lines near the end, in case you need any reminding of how wholesome a series Ted Lasso is. (If a team of footballers leaving a huddle by chorusing “I love you guys so very much” doesn’t melt your cold heart, I don’t know what will.)
Also, “Whoa. Roy Kent just said ‘great job!’” and Beard’s reaction… flawless, no notes.
Ted Lasso premieres March 15 on Apple TV+. New episodes of the 12-episode season will then air weekly on Wednesdays.
