Comedian Josh Johnson is an Emmy-nominated writer, performer, and NAACP award-winner known for touring with Trevor Noah. He was also named New York’s Funniest Stand-Up at the New York Comedy Festival in 2018. On top of producing his own comedy specials, Johnson is currently a writer on “The Daily Show”. He is also a former writer/performer on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.”

Did I forget to mention that he is Comedy Central’s ‘most watched comedian ever’ with 40M+ views to date across their platforms? So it’s no wonder that he’s getting his own comedy special on Peacock, Josh Johnson: Up Here Killing Myself.

So, in the one-hour standup comedy special, there is no subject too big, small, or intimate for him to parse through in his first Peacock comedy specia. Johnson transforms an hour of talk therapy about his relationships with money, his father, and a stalker, into an hour of stand-up. In this comedic exploration of Black mental health and self-discovery, Josh shares with his therapist, and the audience, his thoughts on growing up without money, grieving, and first-time experiences.

Directing the special is Jacob Menache. Executive Producing is Josh Johnson and Samantha Murphy. Producing is Jacob Menache.

The one-hour standup comedy special begins streaming on Peacock on February 17, 2023.
